Biography

Laura is a highly energized and motivated Executive Leader of purpose-driven organizations like Bennufit Health, Ambry Genetics, Quantgene, American Red Cross, Konica Minolta, and CoreLogic with over 20 years of experience and proven success. Using a decisive leadership style to create strategy and execution, Laura helps companies that are growing quickly to become more efficient and capable of rapid and profitable growth. Her diverse experience in multiple industries including healthcare, bioinformatics, data analytics, non-profit, real estate, and technology has given her the opportunity to experience many different business models. She has been responsible for managing budgets of varying sizes up to 100M in organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100.

Laura’s background in finance coupled with experience in communication and strategic planning in a technical environment have given her the unique ability to understand and identify the important financial elements, project management, and critical organizational development aspects that impact an organization’s success and communicate this in a manner that is actionable. She is an active member of many volunteer organizations. Currently, Laura works with the American Red Cross as a professional rescuer instructor, Unchained At Last (the only nonprofit in the US dedicated to helping women escape or resist arranged/forced marriages and rebuild their lives) as a financial and career planning counselor, and Junior Achievement (an organization dedicated to teaching economic success courses for underprivileged children in grades K-12). Laura is a private pilot and former United States Marine Corps officer. She recently joined Forbes Business Council. Laura has a BA in Business Management and is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate.
